Appointments

How to get an appointment
Phone 097 82434 or use the appointment request form on the site. The practice runs an all-day appointment system; urgent appointments are obtained by phoning reception on the day. Say whether you want the doctor or the nurse. Remote GP consultations can be requested online by registered patients aged 18 and over at set times in the week.
Medical card and GP visit card
The chronic disease management programme is HSE funded for medical card and GP visit card holders, with an equivalent programme for private patients, and the repeat prescription form asks whether you hold a medical card. Application forms for the medical card, GP visit card, under 6 and over 70 cards are linked from the site.
Out of hours
Out of hours cover is shared between local GPs and Westdoc (0818 360 000). Phone the practice on 097 82434 for the doctor on duty; a note of any out of hours consultation goes to your own GP the next day.
Repeat prescriptions
Order online or by phone with 48 hours notice (the prescriptions page says 72 hours); the script goes straight to your chosen pharmacy and paper copies are not given. Patients aged 66 and over can phone Monday to Wednesday 9am to 12pm. Private patients pay 20 euro per one month renewal or 40 euro per five month renewal.
Online booking

Practical questions

Can I book an appointment online?
You can send an appointment request through the site, and registered patients aged 18 and over can request a remote GP consultation online; reception then confirms the time. For an urgent appointment phone 097 82434.
Can I get a blood test without being a patient of the practice?
Yes. The phlebotomy clinic runs Monday to Friday from 8:50am to 12 noon and takes both registered and non-registered patients.
Does the practice accept medical cards?
The site refers to medical card and GP visit card holders for the HSE chronic disease programme and separates medical card holders from private patients on the prescription form. It does not say whether the practice is taking new medical card patients.
How do I order a repeat prescription?
Use the online form or phone 097 82434 with at least 48 hours notice, naming the medicines and your pharmacy. Private patients pay 20 euro for a one month renewal or 40 euro for five months.
