Raheen Lodge in Mungret is a transitional (step-down) care unit run by the Bartra Healthcare group, built for people who need a further period of recovery and rehabilitation after a hospital stay before going home or to long term care. 1. Subject to any prohibitions or restrictions contained in any other condition(s), the designated centre shall be operated at all times in accordance with the Statement of Purpose within the footprint of the designated centre on the floor plan received on [08/04/2026]. The registered provider shall only provide for the specific care and support needs, and services, within the facilities as set out the Statement of Purpose, as agreed with the Chief Inspector at the time of registration. Any changes to the specific care and support needs and services provided must be agreed in advance with the Chief Inspector.
2. Only persons aged 18 years or older shall be accommodated at the designated centre at any time.
3. The maximum number of persons that may be accommodated at the designated centre is: [80].
4. In order to ensure that residents accommodated in Raheen Lodge are protected from the risk of fire Bartra Opco (Limerick) Ltd will review all fire escape routes, and where necessary install additional emergency lighting to provide illuminated pathways for escape to a final place of safety on the external routes from the exits to the assembly points and around the building on the South West side by the 30 September 2026.

Admissions

Every patient is reviewed by a physiotherapist on admission and screened by an occupational therapist; care is planned around individual goals set with the multidisciplinary team. Enquiries go through reception or the group's admissions contact option.

Funding

The group says all Bartra Healthcare homes are registered with the HSE for the Fair Deal scheme and that it partners with the HSE for funded respite care. The Raheen Lodge page itself does not state how step-down stays are funded.

Visiting

The group FAQ says visits have resumed under HSE guidance and asks families to contact the home in advance; no visiting hours are given for Raheen Lodge.
