Occupational therapists help people do everyday activities at home, at school and at work, for example after an illness or injury, or when a child needs support with development. Occupational therapists must be registered with CORU. The register opened on 31 March 2015 and the title has been protected since 31 March 2017.
Personal Health is a private lifestyle medicine clinic on Rathgar Road in Rathmines, Dublin 6, founded in 2016, where chartered physiotherapists and a CORU registered occupational therapist deliver assessment led exercise and rehabilitation programmes. The occupational therapy service, led by Marion Slattery, focuses on adults with Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, reduced mobility, recovery after surgery and falls concerns, and includes the LSVT BIG and PD Warrior programmes. All fees are published, and appointments are booked online through the Jane booking system or by phone or email.
